Where does the race start? Where does it end?
The course begins and ends on Grand Boulevard in front of the Sprint Center.

Where does the course go?
You’ll get to see all the beautiful sites of downtown Kansas City along the course, including the Sprint Center, Power & Light District, KC Star, Crown Center, Liberty Memorial, Union Station, KC Performing Arts Center and the Kansas City skyline. Are there hills?
There is a challenging hill mid-way through the course. This is The Rivalry Run and by definition a competition, so we thought it was appropriate for the course to have a little meat to it.

Will there be food and drinks at the end?
Yes, bottled water and bananas will be available to all participants at the finish line. In addition, you may purchase a ticket to the post-race breakfast buffet at Johnny’s Tavern for $5.

What if it rains?
We will run, rain or shine. However the race director reserves the right to cancel the race if it is unsafe to run/walk. Unfortunately, registration fees cannot be refunded if the race is cancelled due to unsafe weather.

Where do I park on race day?
Covered parking is available in the Power & Light District parking garages. Your ticket may be validated at Johnny's Tavern.

Do I have to register online?
No. You may also download a registration form on the REGISTER tab and mail it to us along with a check. You may even register during packet pick-up or on race day.

Where and when is packet pickup?
You may pick up your bib numbers, timing devices, t-shirts and food and drink tickets at 1 of 3 Bank of the West locations anytime before 7pm on Friday August 19th. During registration, you will select the location that is most convenient for you:

Overland Park - 9400 Antioch Road
Lee’s Summit - 740 NW Blue Parkway
Northland - 8301 North St. Clair Avenue

Can a friend or family member pick up my packet?
Yes.

What if my name is misspelled, my age is wrong, etc.?
No problem; email us at register@therivalryrun.com and we will make the necessary changes to your registration.

I registered but can’t participate; can I still pick up my t-shirt?
Yes. Please come to packet pick-up to receive your t-shirt and goody bag. Shirts and medals will NOT be mailed.

I won’t be able to participate; can I transfer my registration to next year or give it to a friend?
No. We are sorry, but your registration is not transferable or refundable.

I would like to volunteer; how do I sign-up?
Yes! Volunteers may sign-up online as well. Click here to register.
